Why Peter Bruce Photo like the Place Sir Francis Drake & had fun with Tiffany & Gene...
The Sir Francis Drake Hotel’s 21-story, Gothic-style tower just off Union Square and its Beefeater-attired doormen have been beloved San Francisco attractions since 1927.
Once you step into the Drake’s opulent period Italian Renaissance lobby is just like stepping back into the 1920s Marble staircases, walls and pillars convey a stately air; crystal chandeliers shine and the lofty, ornately detailed ceiling sparkles with gold leaf. The main event spaces, the Empire Ballroom and the Franciscan Room, have a high-society, Age of Innocence ambiance. In the gold-and-ivory Empire Room, beautiful hand-painted murals turn the walls into works of art. Overhead, three crystal chandeliers suspended from a vaulted ceiling painted with ribbons of gold leaf give the room a delicate amber glow. The adjoining wood-paneled Walnut Room, with its club-like, Edwardian atmosphere and built-in bar, makes a great prefunction space.Tiffany & Gene were smart to have there wedding here, one of the best place Peter Bruce Photo have shoot.
Located just off the mezzanine, the spacious and grand Franciscan Room is an excellent choice for a formal wedding. It’s a regal setting, featuring a 21-foot ceiling with intricate gold embossing, chandeliers, windows draped with blue silk curtains, and columns with carved gold capitals. Guests can enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the adjacent mezzanine, which offers a cozy fireplace and a bird’s-eye view of the vibrant hotel lobby below.
Steeped in 80 plus years of history, the Drake is a true classic. Brides may fall in love with its enchanting vintage architectural details, but they’ll also appreciate the modern amenities and personal service this landmark hotel has to offer.
I am sure as you can see from these photos that it was a fun event. I think I got great photos of the fun side of the wedding and Steve our Video guy really got some great footage. People danced a lot due to Paul the DJ at bELLE music doing a great job.
Check back with us to a few weeks to see all the photos, but I hope you enjoyed these, please let us know

Want to play a joke on the groom, try this good one from Peter Bruce Photo & Video.During the wedding ceremony, when the minister/preacher/priest comes to the part about, "If anyone has any reason why these two people should not marry, speak up now or forever hold your peace..." have this 4-to-6,year old boy running up the aisle loudly yelling, "Daddy, daddy." It works better if the groom does not know the boy.

Why does a bride carry Flowers at her wedding...
All birides carry flowers, but do you know why, well Peter Bruce Photo & Video is here to tell you why and show you some great samples of bouquets.
For centuries, flowers have stood for a variety of emotions and values. Roses for love, lilies for virtue and so on. In ancient marriages, the brides carried herbs beneath their veils to symbolize fidelity. Greek brides carried ivy as a symbol of never-ending love. Orange blossoms, (the world renowned wedding flower) were chosen by the Spaniards to represent happiness and fulfillment, because the orange tree flowers and bears fruit at the same time. During even earlier times of "primitive marriage," when the fear of demons was most prevalent, the brides carried stinking garlands of herbs and spices for the purpose of frightening off evil spirits.
Today, brides carry flowers in the color scheme of their wedding, bringing beauty and elegance as well as old world customs to their special day. Have you considered spelling out the name of your groom in the flowers of your bouquets?
We hope you enjoyed this, plesae let us know and let us know about any you want to here about.

Life is to short to not have fun so we decided to pull out some funny photos, let us know what you think...
Someone Ought To Fire The Caterer!
Surely the bride's foot can't taste better than the buffet – unless she's got one heck of a shoe maker, that is! Lesson number one, schedule the reception festivities for after the meal. Lesson number two, don't let your groomsmen see just as much of the bride as you hope to lay eyes on later … in private!
Not Everything Needs To Be On Film!
Someone needs to let that photographer know that every detail doesn't have to be preserved for all of eternity! Some fun wedding photo ideas are best left at the idea stage, but the photographer who captured this photo definitely knows what a funny wedding photo is all about!
Real Tiger On The Honeymoon!
If he doesn't wake up soon, this won't be the first time he's unconscious tonight! Here's a tip for the guys – falling asleep on the best day of her life won't make it anywhere near the best day of yours.

Peter Bruce Photo & Video was lucky enough to shot this great couple wedding at Mira Vista was the perfect place to host this couples weddiing even with the fog. Located only 20-minutes from downtown San Francisco, Mira Vista made the wedding feel like you are a world apart from the big city. The banquet room boast some of the most magnificent views in the entire Bay Area after the fog cleared. From the San Francisco skyline to the distant Mount Tamalpais to the Golden Gate Bridge, the views are vast and breathtaking. And once the sun had set over the Bay, there warmly lit banquet room created an equally glorious ambience for great food and wold dancing. Designed in the 1920s by the notable Bay Area architect W. H. Ratcliff, the clubhouse is a supreme example of the English Tudor Revival.
I hope you enjoyed the wedding as much as I did, this couple were the coolest and the there family and friend were the best

He's Falling For Her... HARD
What a great photo.Because there's no way she can catch him! This leap of faith is a sure show of love, and with any luck she'll remember her vows to be there for him in his sickness and poor health, because that's the condition that he'll be in after he hits the dirt!
Do You Have Change For A ...
You get the impression that this guy isn't the groom, but the real groom obviously isn't wearing the pants in the family if the bride is already digging around in someone else's! Here's a big tip... Save wedding photo ideas such as this one for the people you aren't too fond of, because the ones who used to like you won't after finding this one in the wedding album! PS tell us know how high you think he is ?
This Guy Is a Morning Person?
Anytime a guy is willing to do this crazy stunt, it's a can't-miss photo op. Hopefully the groom calms down before the honeymoon, or there's the potential for quite a few funny wedding photos that the photographer won't be privy to! Take a tip from this picture for a few wedding photo ideas of your own – the use of color in this shot is phenomenal!
