No simple city park, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park is larger than New York City's Central Park, filled with lush California green and serves as an expansive, approachable and welcome escape from the traffic(sometimes) and close quarters of urban San Francisco .And this was the location Brian And Jamie picked for there wedding.

Golden Gate Park encompasses more than 1,000 acres of land on the west side of San Francisco and contains a number of features that attract visitors and city-dwellers, grandparents and high schoolers, rollerbladers and benchwarmers alike. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean on its western end and extending 4.5 miles east, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park includes the Japanese Tea Garden, the Strybing Arboretum, the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers, the de Young Museum, the AIDS Memorial Grove, Stow Lake and the Academy of Sciences. And Hidden away along a small dirt path, the enchanting Shakespeare Garden, with an arched iron-wrought gate, is the type of homely garden opening that one would to expect to stumble upon in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Shakespeare Garden contains numerous plants that are referenced in Shakespeare's actual writings, and on the back brick wall, quotations and passages from his plays are engraved on stone tablets for visitors to read or to use as a prop for wedding photos. After  a nice and funny cerermony all the gusst went of to a great diner and function at boulevard restaurant.

Stracey & Jason came all the way from New york to have there wedding at the beautiful  Brazilian Room

(see the photos below) which is set high in the hills of Northern  Berkeley lies Tilden Park Ca, popularly considered “the Jewel of the East Bay of California.” Hiking trails with names like Seaview or Skyline wind past creeks, mineral springs, and sylvan meadows, up to the sweeping panorama offered at Inspiration Point. Yet just about every vista in Tilden Park is inspirational. Encompassing the Tilden Nature Area, most of the park’s 2,100 acres serve as tranquil shelters for native cal  plants &  wildlife. The Rangers here are very serious about preserving this magnificent habitat, they even close one of their roads seasonally to protect migrating newts—and the result is a cornucopia of natural beauty. Visitors also enjoy the abundance of recreational activities, including steam trains, a golf course and an antique merry-go-round. For generations of Bay Area residents, outings to Tilden Park have been part of a happy tradition, beginning with a youngster’s first pony ride and perhaps culminating in a wedding ceremony at the historic Brazilian Room.

It was once part of the 1939 Golden Gate Exposition on Treasure Island, the Brazilian Room was presented as a gift to the East Bay Regional Park District by the country of Brazil. The original interior hardwood paneling was kept intact, while a new exterior of local rock and timber was constructed by the Works Project Administration to permanently house the room.

Wedding ceremonies are extremely popular on the  great flagstone patio, with its dramatic panorama of sloping lawn and tree-studded hillsides. After toasting the newlyweds, guests can sip their champagne among the colorful mix of agapanthus, hydrangea and other flowers that make up the small garden adjoining the patio, or sample hors d’oeuvres under the cherry tree, abloom in April with perfumey-pink blossoms.

The setting at the Brazilian Room is just as lovely indoors as out. The building’s Old English-style façade is defined by a trio of leaded-glass doors, each with dormer-style threshold. When guests move inside for the reception, they’ll find that floor-to-ceiling leaded-glass windows run the length of the other side of the room as well. These rear windows also offer a close-up look at the forest, evoking the romance of a light-filled mountain cabin. Dark wooden beams create a novel pattern on the ceiling, and polished wood flooring and a huge stone fireplace give the space additonal rustic charm.

The serene pastoral surroundings at the Brazilian Room offer an environment free from noise and distraction, where Nature’s gifts are honored and preserved and the modern world is in harmony with the building’s heritage. It’s a place you’ll want to make part of your own family tradition after this wedding

Even though most of the people who come to my site are looking at there photos, there are a lot of brides to be following us and from time to time I like to put my two cents in and help out,so here are some tips.Let's not beat around the bush: planning a wedding is work. With all those decisions and responsibilities, it's easy to see how some brides and grooms get completely consumed in the minutiae. So how do stressed-out, site-seeing, menu-sampling couples get their eyes back on the ball? By taking a breather from the planning process. Get ready to clear your schedules and forget about picking the favors-the following list of eight stress-breaking activities will help you remove yourselves from nuptial hassles and restore your sanity.

"DON'T GO CRAZY"

1. Have  a wedding-free weekend.

For a full 48-hour period, pretend you're the two people you were before you got engaged (and, in the meantime, remind yourselves of why you wanted to get married to each other in the first place). No wedding planning or fighting allowed! No talk of hors d'oeuvres, seating charts, or first dance songs. Hang out, laugh, have fun, and flirt with each other for a change.

2. Have a night out with the girls (or boys).

With all the "togetherness" of being a future bride and groom, remind yourselves you're individuals too. Book a night out with your respective same-sex posse (again, no wedding talk). Hit the town like a swinging single and stay out past midnight. Take advantage of the fact that your future spouse isn't around to do something with your friends he or she doesn't like to do -- we're talking chick flick, batting cages, steak dinner, manicures. Then entertain each other the next day with tales of your exploits.

3. Go on a fancy date together.

Chances are, for the past few months you've been scrimping and saving every extra nickel to supplement The Budget. If you've done well, reward yourselves for your miserly skills by spending a little of that cold hard cash. Book a table at the fanciest restaurant in town and go for the full monty: fine wine, appetizer, entree, dessert, and after-dinner drinks. Afterward, stop in a local jazz club and catch a torch singer belting out inspiring tunes de l'amour.

4. Pull out the maps take a drive or a ride .

Reserve a weekend afternoon and head for the open highway. Check out that little place a couple of towns over that you always mean to visit. Test each other's map-reading skills. Play road games like, Who Can Spot the Most Out-of-State License Plates? Sing along to cheesy songs on the radio. Buy a souvenir at a highway truck stop. Stumble upon a romantic restaurant for lunch or dinner before heading home.

5. Mastermind a movie marathon.

There's nothing like a good movie to transport you from reality to fantasy. Take the phone off the hook, rent a whole slew of films, and spend an evening in, snacking on popcorn and Sno-Caps. The trick here is to stay away from wedding-theme fare -- sorry, this includes Father of the Bride -- while keeping the romance theme going with a steamy story like The Lover. Or opt for the comic relief of a Jim Carrey or Eddie Murphy flick -- laughter, after all, is still the best stress reliever and forget things.

6. Get in some game play.

Sometimes a little healthy competition serves to make you closer, right? Challenge your mate to a night of games: Pictionary, Scrabble, backgammon, even good old cards. If you own a Sony PlayStation 19, take the high-tech road to fun. Rather venture out? Head for the nearest bowling alley -- or look into go-carts, ice-skating, and tennis tournaments for other fun and sporty activities to enjoy a deux.

7.Go back to childhood.

There's nothing like a good amusement park to get you feeling like a kid again. Wake up extra early to avoid long lines, then get your fill of roller coasters, log flumes, and Ferris wheels. Challenge your future mate to a bumper car race. Fill up on cotton candy, funnel cake, and waffle cones. Take an old-fashioned photo. Then spend an hour or so trying to win a supersize stuffed animal to take home as a memento of the day.

I hope this helps, lets me know and hang in there

Film v’s Digital…why does Hollywood still shoot on film.

There are strong  supporters of both film & digital. As a photographer who has used film for over twenty plus  years and digital for the last six years or so , I would have to say that, at the time of  writing this it is  just about a dead heat but if I had to pick one, FILM would be it  for sure. Two things are important here, one you can turn a negative into a digital file, but you can’t go the other way. I tell all my couple do both. Shot on film, scan the negatives and burn a DVD, YES the best of both worlds can be had . But the big factor here is why do Hollywood film makers and studios  still shoot on movies  film, Hollywood would be the first to go cheap if they could.Give me a real film, not animation thatthat was not shot of film that one an Oscar, you can't. SORRY

WHY… BECAUSE IT IS BETTER, LASTS LONGER, IS RICHER,LOOK FOR YOUR SELF.

END OF STORY. But here are some samples to view
